On Track at the Scottish Youth & Junior Track Championships
Anexo Group Race Team Riders Elliot Rowe and Joe Cosgrove enjoyed success at the Scottish National Championship 2022, taking place at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Glasgow.
With a series of track events held between December 16 – 18, the weekend saw some standout performances from both riders, who lit up proceedings.
It was podium positions throughout for Elliot and Joe with a number of victories between them. Elliot secured results across the Youth and Junior age groups, starting with a win in the Junior 3km Individual Pursuit, while also taking the Points Race and Scratch Race titles in his own Youth age group, before taking silver in the Junior Points.
Joe also put on an impressive performance and took silver in the Youth A Scratch followed by a quick gear change and a bronze in the Junior Points Race, to complement the gold he won in the Youth A 2km Individual Pursuit earlier in the day.
Elliot said:
“It was a good weekend in Glasgow for Joe and I. I was pleased to come away with some good results at my last youth races and am looking forward to moving up to Junior racing next year with the team.”
Joe said:
“It was a great experience taking part in my first Scottish Cycling Track Championships. I really enjoyed getting some flat out racing on the track before a big block of racing on the track in January.”
Overall, the team took home 4 Golds, 2 Silvers and 2 Bronze medals. What a way to end the year!
