Patrick Casey

Patrick achieved a brilliant 2nd overall in the Irish National Road Race Series and has been selected to represent Ireland in European Youth Olympics in Slovakia.

Patrick won the CTT time trial event at the Merlin Classic Junior in 2021 and retained the title in 2022. Patrick was the 3rd fastest CTT juvenile ever over 10 miles and is currently only the third ever Youth A to be under 19 minutes over this distance. Patrick was also runner-up in the Junior BBAR in 2021.

Patrick thrives on the longer CTT hill climbs and was the fastest ’15 boy’ in the National 2021 Championships on Winnats Pass.

“A new team full of first-year juniors probably shouldn’t set their targets too high, but I’m hopeful that with the quality riders we have in the team, and if we ride as a team, then we will spring a surprise or two…and, mostly importantly, have a lot of fun at the same time.”
